Ginger Roots and The Protectors are a reggae roots band from Encinitas, CA that was Formed in 2012 by frontman Chase (Ginger Roots) and  brother Spencer Brokaw.  The Protectors, the band, is made up of Spencer on percussion, Fully Fullwood on Bass, Stevie Verhault on guitar, Santa Davis on drums and Alex Somerville on Keys as well as other great musicians occasionally. With their roots melodies, worldly lyrics and electric look and performance Ginger Roots continues to gain traction in the Reggae scene. So far in their short career, they have opened for reggae greats like Steel Pulse, Ziggy Marley, Julian Marley, Stephen Marley, Barrington Levy, Pato Banton, Israel Vibrations, Don Carlos, Mykal Rose, Groundation among many others. Ginger Roots has a strong presence in the studio as well, with recording sessions at Bob Marley’s Tuff Gong studio in Jamaica and also Fully Fullwood’s Kitchen Studio. They are currently working on their Third studio album. ‘Don’t Stop The Groove’, and ‘Vibe Maker’ albums are out everywhere right now!
